Swahili has a simple vowel system. There are five vowels in Swahili which do not vary much in pronunciation. Watch the video and identify the vowels and how to pronounce them. Make sure to pronounce each at least three times.

Assist the student in pronouncing the words in the video and also encourage the student to find another three example words for each vowel.
