Passage: Isuku imuhira ‘cleanness at home’

This passage is about Mukakalisa who likes cleanness in her daily activities. She will talk about her daily activities centered on caring for her children, the house and its surrounginds. Everyday, she is always concerned with the cleanness of her children and her home. 

 

Passage

 Kayitesi ni umuntu ugira isuku cyane. Ava mu buriri kare, agakaraba umubiri wose. Yuhagira abana, akabasiga. Abambika udukariso, udukabutura, udusengeri, udushati, udupira,udusogisi n’udukweto twiza. Iyo amaze kugaburira abana, ajya gusukura ibyumba byose, mu ruganiro, mu gikoni, no mu musarane. Ahita yoza amasahane, amasafuriya, ibikombe, ibirahuri, amakanya, n’ibiyiko. Akurikizaho kumesa no gukubura imbere y’inzu. akaruhuka iwe hose hari isuku. Mbere y’uko ajya kuryama, agomba kumenya ko iwe ibintu byose bifite isuku.

 

 

 

Passage Translation

Mukakalisa is a very clean person. She wakes up early and takes a shower. She gives the children a bath and moisturizes their skin. She dresses them in underwear, shorts, undershirts, shirts, sweaters, socks, and nice shoes. When she is done feeding the children, she goes to clean all the bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Then, she immediately proceeds to clean the plates, pots, cups, glasses, forks and spoons.  After that, she goes to wash the clothes and sweep in front of the house. She makes sure that everything at home is clean before she goes to bed.
