Summary: Rwandan family relationships.

This unit deals with kinyarwanda family relationships as fundamental in social structures. We have learned that a family can be classified into three distinct groups, namely: Primary relationship consisting of the fundamental social cell ' husband/wife, father/mother, son/daughter'

Secondary relationship consisting of 'grand tather/grand mother, uncle/aunt'. Extended relationship consisting of 'cousin/nephiew/niece, in-laws, and distant family relationships which are known as: 'benewacu'.

Draw a sort of flow chart showing relationships to include all categories.
Write down all your family relationships starting from yourself.
