Teacher Notes: The application of cardinal numbers takes different forms.

Note
Teacher Notes

Since the application of cardinals takes different forms, as a teacher you have to give many examples of each form. Then, give more exercises to learners so that they may get acquainted with them. For example: (1) The application of the cardinal ‘-mwe’, when counting one item (umwana umwe; inka imwe; ikibabi kimwe; ahantu hamwe etc.) (2) The application of cardinals from 2 to 7 (abana babiri, batatu, bane, batanu, batandatu, barindwi). (3) The application of cardinals 8, 9, 10 (abana munani, cyenda, cumi). (4) Special application of cardinal number with class3 nouns which bring in some particular sounds. Intebe ebyiri, eshatu, enye, eshanu, esheshatu, ndwi.
